Founder/Executive DirectorSam is an experienced Strength Coach with over a decade in the fitness industry, dedicated to creating inclusive, accessible movement spaces for every body. Born and raised in New Mexico, her passion for health and fitness expanded during her time in the Pacific Northwest, where coaching diverse populations and navigating her own chronic illness deeply reshaped her approach to strength training.
Combining a strong background in small business management and rehabilitation support with a client-centered philosophy, Sam leverages her expertise to empower individuals from all walks of life and advance SWSP’s mission of driving meaningful community impact across the Southwest and beyond.

cody misuraca, DPT (he/him)
Board MemberCody is a physical therapist and strength coach whose background and experience as a rehabilitation specialist ranges from the acute hospital setting, to high performance athletics, to chronic pain and disability. As a PT and coach he prioritizes collaboration and shared decision making, tailoring services to match to the individual's personal needs. He strongly believes that the health and well-being of our society can only truly be judged by the equitability of access and resources related to health and fitness.
RACHAEL GUERRA-LORENZO (she/they)
Board MemberRachael Lorenzo is a queer and Indigenous parent from the Mescalero Apache Tribe and the Pueblo of Laguna, and is also Chicana. Rachael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration — both from the University of New Mexico. She studied political campaigns, participated in policy analyses, and has been consulted for her expertise in public health policies that could impact Indigenous communities. She is the founder of the organization, Indigenous Women Rising. She understands the importance of movement for mental and physical health, and participates in weight lifting.
Board MemberMeg is a coach and owner of CrossFit Mañana, a local Albuquerque gym. Her prior work in higher education combined with her more recent work in the fitness space has informed her passion for equitable and accessible strength training for all. She believes strongly in strength training as a tool that can improve not only physical fitness and health, but our mental and emotional health as well.

Board MemberCassandra Costley is a nonprofit leader, healthcare operational readiness executive, and Albuquerque community advocate dedicated to fostering inclusive, trauma-informed, and adaptive spaces. Professionally, she specializes in guiding organizations through complex change as a National Director for Operational Readiness in healthcare. Drawing from extensive local board leadership and her personal journey with chronic health conditions like Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Cassandra actively champions movement environments that prioritize accessibility, bodily autonomy, and confidence for individuals of all abilities and backgrounds.
